Intended Uses

The seam guage is intended for measuring hem depth and space between buttonholes, space tucks and pleats. 

The slider can be used to set a specific position for making repeated, consistently sized markings, like for button spacing. It can also be used to draw circles or semi-circles, like for scallops, with a consistent radius.
