Intended Uses

  • Crank and Bottom Bracket Wrench (HCW-4). For bottom brackets that require a wrench with two flats (36mm). The opposite side of these bottom brackets usually require the pin spanner on this wrench.
  • Bottom Bracket Wrench (HCW-18). This is a double-ended wrench for use on some one-piece crank/bottom bracket systems. One end fits slotted adjusting cones with an outside diameter between 42mm and 44mm. The opposite end fits three-notch fixed cones with an outside diameter between 42mm and 46mm.
  • Bottom Bracket Lockring Wrench (HCW-5). This double-sided bottom bracket lockring hook spanner has a single hook on one side and a hook spanner with 3 notches on the other side for the lockrings. The three-hook end will fit 3-notch lockrings with a maximum outside diameter of 46mm, and minor diameter (in the notches) of 40mm.
  • Adjustable Cup Wrench (HCW-11). This wrench fits slotted bottom bracket adjusting cups common on older English bicycles and less expensive bicycles with raised 16mm wrench flats. The opposite end has two prongs that are approximately 23mm x 5mm for cups with recessed slots.
  • Adjustable Pin Spanner (SPA-6). This pin spanner has a bunch of uses since the spanner is adjustable and is applicable to bottom brackets that require a spanner.
