Instructions & Resources

  • Instructions derived from the Operating Instructions and Parts Manual:

Measurement:

  1. Press ON/OFF key to switch power on
  2. Press in/mm key to select desired unit system
  3. Loosen the clamp screw for the slider if it isn’t already loose
  4. When faces are closed (or touching each other) the LCD readout should read: 0.00mm (in mm mode). If it shows a number, then zero it out by pressing the origin button for 5 seconds until 0.00 appears.
  5. Move the slider with thumb screw to take your inside, outside, or depth measurements.

From Absolute measurement to Incremental measurements:

  1. By default, the caliper is set to Absolute. To use Incremental mode, begin by measuring your object in Absolute mode, then press ZERO/ABS switch–it will zero out the reading–then move slider either direction for additional measurements. Wherever you land, if you press the ZERO/ABS switch again, the reading will be your original measurement plus or minus the amount you moved the slider after switching modes.

Battery Replacement:

  1. When replacing battery, the positive pole must face out. After replacement, close the jaws and hold down the ORIGIN switch for 5 seconds until 0.00 appears in the LCD display. Now the absolute zero setting is complete and you can begin measuring again!
