Description
Luter 10 in. Contour Gauge.
Features of this item include:
- 10 In./25 cm long (profile)
- Can make impressions up to 2-¾ in. deep
Also Known As: profile gauge
Often Used With: Jig Saw
Intended Uses
A contour gauge is a tracing aid to help you cut a amorphous shapes in wood or wood-like material. It has a series of pins that, when pressed against an object, creates an accurate mold of that object from which you can trace cut lines on the material you are cutting. This scenario is common when laying down flooring, tile, molding, siding, etc.
Special Instructions
Some contour gauges have lock levers in order to lock the impression (mold) you make in place. This gauge does not have a lock; however, the pins are fairly stiff on their own and hold in place as long as you don't bang them on something.
