Description
From my house to yours, this wooden mallet is one foot long, lightweight, and has been around the block–and tripped on some curbs–a few times, as evidenced by the chips and marred edges. But it's at least 100 years old and still knockin' wood!
Also Known As: Wood Mallet
Often Used With: Other Wood Things
Intended Uses
Wooden mallets are specialized tools for the woodsmith and used to strike other wooden things, such as wood dowels, specialized wood joints, and chisels, etc. The wood mallet won't mar wood objects where a steel hammer surely will.
Special Instructions
For knocking and striking surfaces that are as hard or less hard than wood! Don't drive a nail into anything with this–use a proper hammer for that application :-)
