Coil Roofing Nailer In Stock Now

Description

Bostitch Coil Roofing Nailer (RN46-1). This roofing nailer takes ¾-1-¾  inch fasteners that are packaged in a coil. This is a contact trip model–see "Special Instructions" for an explanation.

Features of this item include:

  • Lockout mechanism–gun will not fire when there are no nails loaded
  • Shingle gauge–used to control shingle spacing
  • Fastener depth adjustor–dial to determine the depth the fasteners are driven

This nailer does not come with a pneumatic hose or a compressor–it's the nailer only!

Also known as: nail gun

Intended Uses

Installing shingles on your roof, primarily, installing siding, too.. This is not a framing nail gun!

Special Instructions

Please don't be afraid to ask us how to use this item if you aren't familiar with nail guns–we'd be happy to show you :)

One or two drops of lubrication into the air fitting once or twice a day while in use

Operating pressure is 70-120psi–don't exceed the upper limit! We've found that this nailer  works plenty well at around 100psi

The adjustable nail platform (where the coil of nails rests) has two levels for different sized nails ( adjust the setting by pulling and twisting the post of the nail platform):

  • Bottom step is for nails that range in length from 1.5 to 1.75 inches
  • Top step is for nails that range in length from .75 to 1.25 inches

This is a 'contact trip' model. The nail gun will not fire if a) the contact trip is pressed up against the work surface, but the trigger is not pulled or b) the trigger is pulled, but the contact trip is not pressed up against a work surface. To use:

  • Single Fastener operation: Push the contact trip up against the work surface until the nose touches, THEN pull trigger to drive the fastener

  • Rapid Fastener operation: While pointed towards the work surface, pull trigger, THEN tap the contact trip against the work surface in a 'bouncing' motion–a fastener will be driven each time the contact trip hits the work surface
