Used for clearing clogged drains–sink, tub, and shower.
Special Instructions
How to clean the drum auger: After pulling the snake all the way out of the drain, rinse, wipe down, and dry the entire snake before putting it back into the drum.
Not for your toilet! Toilets require a larger drain auger.

- Instruction: How to Use:
- Release cable lock by pushing lever forward (away from you)
- Feed cable snake by hand into the drain to reach the clog
- When the clog is reached, push lever back (towards you) to lock cable snake, then rotate the drum clockwise and use a back and forth motion until boring head has loosened the clog
- When clog is cleared, retract cable snake by hand.
- Clean and dry cable snake, then feed it back into the drum
- Video: "How To Unclog A Drain" by RJ The Bike Guy (1:48m). This DTL drum auger has a locking lever instead of the thumb screw shown in this video; however, the process is the same. Note: When retracting the snake from the drain, clean it as you push it back into the drum, which the author does not do.
