Intended Uses
Used for bleeding hydraulic brakes that use mineral oil. Hydraulic brakes need regular maintenance to purge the system of air–'bleeding the brakes'--and to replace old brake fluid with new fluid.
Are you bleeding Shimano brand hydraulic brakes? DTL now has "ad-lib guides", step by step guidance, explaining in great detail the four common procedures to bleed Shimano mountain bike brakes.
Special Instructions
This kit is for MINERAL OIL only! Please do not put D.O.T. brake fluid, or any other fluids, into these components. Thanks!
Please clean the components of the kit before putting them back in the case! Clean the outside of components with a little isopropyl alcohol and a wipe down–Thanks :) A small amount of brake fluid in the syringes and/or the hoses is not a problem.
If you drain your old brake fluid into the waste oil container (Brake Bleed Caddy) you can bring it back and we'll dispose of it!
