Durango Tool Library Brake Bleed Caddy. This is a companion 'tool' to the brake bleed kits.

This item includes:

• Isopropyl alcohol spray bottle
• Waste container w/cord and carabiner (for spent brake fluid)
• Cam strap, 1 inch, blue (for steadying front wheel)
• Cam strap, small, black (for securing brake lever)
• Velcro strap (for securing cables, etc.)

This kit comes in a plastic handy tote!

Intended Uses

Used for making brake bleeds easy and clean! Here are the intended uses for each item in the kit:

• Isopropyl alcohol spray bottle–spray down components such as brake calipers and levers before and after the bleed procedure to clean away any dirt and grime or spilled brake fluid.

• Waste container w/cord and carabiner–This waste container is meant to hang off the bike frame with the provided cord (and carabiner) and has a hole in the lid that accommodates the 'waste' hose in the bleed kits. Bring back the old brake fluid and we will dispose of it for you!

• Cam strap, 1 inch, blue–When your bike is tipped up on the bike repair stand, this cam strap can keep the handlebars in a stable position.

• Cam strap, small, black–This small strap allows you to cinch down the brake lever during the second part of a gravity bleed.

• Velcro strap–Sometimes the brake lines are set at a higher point than the levers. Use this small strap to cajole and secure them to a lower point than your levers. 

You can also use any extra space in the caddy for nitrile gloves, rags, additional PPE or new brake fluid containers.

Special Instructions

Brake fluid is corrosive stuff–if you spill any in the caddy or on any of the caddy contents, simply spray the contaminated stuff with the isopropyl alcohol and wipe down with a rag.
