Description
Park Tool Single Arm Repair Stand (PRS-6). This older generation bike repair stand is the pre-1996 model.
Features of this item include:
- 40 inches high (this is pretty low for bike stands!)
- 360 degree locking swivel on the jaws
- Sturdy, heavy base
Also known as: Floor stand, Work stand, Maintenance stand
Similar to: Bike Repair Stand
Intended Uses
Used to lift, hold, and stabilize your bicycle while you repair it. This older model can only accommodate older model bicycles with 1 or 1 ⅛ inch tubing. While you could use it to clamp on to seat posts (and dropper post stanchions), it won't get the bike off the ground by much if at all.
Special Instructions
The clamp on this bike stand is not adjustable–it can't accommodate oversized tubing on modern mountain bikes. The maximum recommended width of tubing is 1 ⅛ inch.
If you clamp your dropper post stanchion, make sure you clean the clamp and/or place a clean cloth/nitrile glove over the clamp jaws so you don't mar the surface of the stanchion!
