Description

Durango Tool Library bike washing kit, inspired by Calvin from Park Tool! Now you don't need a hose to clean your bike!! Two 5-gallon buckets, an assortment of brushes/sponges, water bottle, and degreaser dish.

Often used with: Bike Repair Stand; Dummy Hub; Complimentary nitrile gloves and Safety glasses; Degreaser; Dish soap

Intended Uses

Used to clean the entire bicycle, with specialized brushes for the drivetrain.

Special Instructions

  • To clean brushes and buckets, simply wash them in very soapy water
  • Be careful NOT to get any degreaser or chain lube on either the brake rotors or brake pads (enrobe them with rags!) of your bike!

Instructions

Fill one bucket with hot soapy water, fill the other bucket with plain 'ol hot water for the rinse, then:

  1. Apply degreaser to drivetrain using various brushes
  2. Scrub the drivetrain
  3. Using the soapy water, scrub down the degreaser that you have applied to the drivetrain; If you are washing the rest of your bike, scrub down components (except handlebar gear shifter) and frame
  4. Rinse everything using the water bottle with the hot plain water!
