Special Instructions

Don't ever point this tool at anyone!

Only use nails specific for this framing nailer:

  • Stick framing nails, plastic collated, 21 deg.
  • Length: 2 - 3-1/4 in.
  • Shank diameter: 0.113 - 0.148 in.
  • Shank Type: smooth or ring
  • Nail stick angle: 21 deg.
  • Nail head: Full round head

Magazine capacity is 49 nail.

Always take battery off the nailer when handling the contact tip or clearing a jammed nail.

Trigger lock is activated when pushed to the right.

You will hear the flywheel whirring as it powers up (when contact trip is actuated in sequential mode or the trigger is pressed in bump mode). For best results, wait to fire off a nail until it gets up to speed.

Instructions

Nail Jam: If there is a nail jam or the nailer stalls (because it used all its energy to drive a nail into very hard wood), the Jam/Stall Indicator Light will turn on. To fix:

  • For a stall: Rotate the stall release lever at top of nailer. Reset nailer by taking battery off, then reinstall.
  • For jammed nail: Remove battery, unload nail magazine, push "pusher latch" to bottom of magazine, loosen hex bolts at top of magazine, pull magazine forward, and clear nail.
  • OR, bring it back to the library where we can help!

Speed modes: Locate the "dual speed switch" below the handle. The manufacturer recommends using speed 1 for 2 inch nails and speed 2 for all other (longer) nails.

Bump/Sequential modes: Locate the "bump/sequential selector switch" below handle. Sequential mode is selected when only one nail is shown and will only fire off a nail when contact trip is pressed to your workpiece, then trigger is pulled. Bump mode is selected when three nails are shown and will fire off a nail when the trigger is pressed and each time the contact trip is pressed to your workpiece.

Depth Adjustment: Locate the "depth adjustment wheel" above the magazine. Turn wheel to the right to sink nails deeper; to the left to drive nails shallower.
