Description
Foamular NGX 2 inch insulation board. Pink foam board with overall dimension of 4 ft by 8 ft, cut into two foldable pieces of 4 ft by 4 ft. Folded, the two pieces measure 2 ft by 4 ft by 8 inches, making it very compact.
Also known as: Foam board; Insulation board
Often used with: Circular Saw; Straight Edge Jig; Extension Cord
Intended Uses
Intended as a 'sacrifice' board to rip and crosscut 4 X 8 plywood sheets. This is by far the safest and most effective way to break down large sheets of plywood, especially if you are working alone. While you will make a shallow kerf in the foam board, the foam will not hurt the saw or make a mess.
Special Instructions
Set the circular saw depth to no more than an ? inch past the thickness of the board you're cutting. Do not cut pieces off the backer board, please!

Instructions
Unfold and lay out the foam board on the floor. For smaller pieces of plywood, you may only need half of the foam board. If the entire foam board is needed fold out both pieces and push together. Next, lay the plywood on the foam board and make your cuts! You can move along with the saw on top of the plywood and foam board!
Usually, no clamps are needed to keep the plywood from moving.
