Description
A set of hand tools used for tile work. This set was donated by members who completed their tile work with these tools. The set Includes:
- QEP 4 in. x 9.5 in. Universal Gum Rubber Grout Float
- QEP 9 in. Compound Tile Nipper with Tungsten Carbide Tips
- QEP Handheld Grout Saw
- Anvil 3/16 in. x 5/32 in. V-Notch Economy Flooring Trowel
- QEP Grout Removal Tool
- DeWalt Pointer Trowel
- QEP (¼ in. X ¼ in. X¼ in.) Square Notch Trowel
- QEP XL Non-Stick Gum Rubber Grout Float with Wood Handle (4 in. x 10.5 in.)
- Grouting, cleaning, and washing sponge (7 in. X 4 in.)
This set of items comes with 3 and 5 gallon buckets.
Features of this item include:
Grout Float (2):
- For all grout types (epoxy, sanded and non-sanded) for floors, walls and counters
- For smooth porcelain and ceramic, textured tile and natural stone
- 3/4 in. non-stick gum rubber pad, squared back corners, and 2 rounded corners
Tile Nipper:
- Cut irregular shapes in all tile from 1/8 in. - 1/4 in. thick
- 3 times more cutting power than standard tile nippers
Grout Saw:
- May be used on all grout types
- 1 steel tooth blade for initially removing tough grout and 1 carbide grit blade for finishing and fine removal
- Easily change blades with a Phillips head screwdriver
V-Notch Trowel:
- 9 in. x 4 in. cold-rolled steel blade
- 3/16 in. (wide) x 5/32 in. (deep) V- notches
Square Notch Trowel
- 11 in. x 4.5 in. stainless-steel blade
- Notches are ¼ in. wide (notches and teeth) X ¼ in. deep X¼ in.
- Notches located on one short and one long side; remaining two sides are flat
Grout Removal Tool:
- 3 1/16th in. tips
- Double-sided head with 3 durable carbide tips
Pointer Trowel:
- 5-1/2 in. blade
- Blade is high carbon steel, heat treated, and tempered, tapered to the ground for flexibility and balance
Sponge
- 7 in. long X 4 in. wide X 2 in. thick
Buckets:
- 5 gallon bucket for mixing thinset and grout
- 3 gallon bucket for warm water
Often used with: Tile Saw, 7 in.; Mud Mixer, Spade Handle; Mixing Paddle
Intended Uses
Grout Float: Used to apply grout between your tiles, stones, etc.
Tile Nipper: Used to cut irregular shapes in all tile that's between ⅛ in to ¼ in. thick
Grout Saw: Used for stripping, cleaning and removing old grout
V-Notch Trowel: Used for small jobs, applying thinset and mastic on drywall and mosaics (May also be used to install 3-ply and 5-ply engineered plank, as well as cove base)
Square-notch Trowel: Used for applying thinset for tile and plank flooring–advertised for up to 8 in. X8 in. sized tile
Grout Removal Tool: Used to remove unwanted grout, thinset, calcium or mortar during installation
Pointer Trowel: Used for scraping, digging or repairing work–patching cracks, shaping joints in brick, stone, and concrete walls
Sponge: In this context, this sponge is used for cleaning grout during tile installation
5 Gal. Bucket: for mixing thinset and grout
3 Gal. Bucket: Intended for warm water to wet surfaces, clean off excess thinset/grout
Special Instructions
Please wash off excess grout and cement from the tools before it hardens and when it's much easier to clean, then dry off with a rag--these tools rust fast!!
