Description
Ryobi Wood and Metal Door Lock Installation Kit (A99DLK4). If you get a new door and it doesn't have the holes to accommodate a lock or knob, this jig helps you do that with very little guess work! Makers of this jig assume that you already have a latch plate/hole for your door jamb.
This kit includes:
- Jig bracket
- 1 in. spade bit
- 1 in. bi-metal hole saw
- 2 ⅛ in. bi-metal hole saw
- Arbor with adjustable pilot bit (use this with the hole saws)
- Drill bits: ⅛ in., 3/32 in.
This item's features include:
- Can be used for metal or wood doors
- Compatible with 1-¾ in. or 1-⅜ in. thick doors
- No measuring necessary!
This item comes in a sweet up-cycled insulated lunch box!
Often used with: Drill Driver; Chisels
Intended Uses
This jig is used for guiding your hole saw to install locksets/deadbolts/door knobs on a door without having to make measurements. However, it's not great for completing latches in the door jamb or door (though you can use it to make this easier).
Special Instructions
Be easy on this jig–it's plastic (mostly) and will wear away fast with sloppy work with the hole saws!
