If you can't be bothered to read or watch "ESD Is Not a Venereal Disease" by the awesome people who make this item (we link to both, below) here's the basic set-up:
- Remove any rings and bracelets you may be wearing!
- Unfold the mat on your working surface
- Connect the wire lead (has the button) to your mat and the alligator clip to the nearest metal thing to your work surface
- Put on the wrist strap and connect the (wire lead) alligator clip to the edge of the mat
- You are now "geek chic" and ready to bust that smartphone open!
