Intended Uses

Used to remove deep, set-in stains and renew carpets. Please make sure you vacuum the carpet first!

Special Instructions

  • First vacuum the carpet or upholstery before cleaning it!
  • Use only with Hoover branded solutions/soap–"Hoover Everyday Carpet Cleaner Solution and Formula" or "Hoover Pet Stain & Odor with Stain Guard Carpet Cleaner Solution"
  • Mixture of carpet cleaner to water is 3 oz. to 1 gal
  • This item has lots of plastic parts that fit together–forcing parts together/apart can break them!

Instructions

Basic Operating Procedures:

  1. Vacuum whatever surface you're cleaning. This is important for the carpet cleaner to work properly!
  2. Fill Clean Water Tank to fill line with warm water (lift tank up to remove from cleaning unit) and add 3 oz *think three shot glasses* of cleaning solution. To install, line up tank and press firmly back in place.
  3. Turn unit on by pressing the red foot pedal
  4. Recline the handle by pressing the center gray foot pedal
  5. Squeeze trigger to apply water/cleaning solution
  6. Slowly push forward with the trigger pressed in to wash; slowly pull back with trigger released to dry
  7. Remove and empty the recovery *gray* water tank when finished or when the red float is visible
  8. Clean all the parts before bringing it back to the library–thank you!!
